He want’s to learn more about Beethoven |
Ludwig van Beethoven was born on the 17th December 1770. When he took violin and piano lessons from his father, he was only 5 years old. His father wanted Beethoven to be a second Mozart. Beethoven practiced a lot and was therefore already on concert tours at the age of 7. Beethoven was very successful and composed his first symphony at the age of 29.
But with time Beethoven became hard of hearing, and at the age of 49 he finally became completely deaf. What is special about Beethoven is that he nevertheless continued to conduct and compose, although he couldn't hear anymore.
He died of liver disease at the age of 57, but by then he had composed 9 symphonies, an opera and many other pieces of music.

There is a huge difference between cultures on what is allowed to ask and what is not allowed to ask. We Austrians and Germans typically see ourselves as being very straightforward and open, perhaps a bit rude even. Austrians, as well as Germans, love to drink beer and and celebrate the Octoberfest. Age can be a sensitive subject, especially for women. Politics and religion, it can vary a lot how we do it.
